A 42-mile, 10-summit journey, all around the famous Long Mynd
We return to The Mynd
The Lond Mynd hosted long-past Beyond Marathon events from 2013 - 2016, such as the Apocalypse 100 / 50 and the 12 Labours of Hercules.
We return in 2023 for the second edition, after a fabulous in event in 2022
The Challenge
The Long Mynd is approximate 7 miles long and 3 miles wide. The challenge is to go all around it, clockwise, while climbing and descending many of the "batches" - valley paths up/down from the summit plateau.
Event starts/ends at Church Stretton Parish Centre
(opposite St Laurence's Church)
The challenge is 42.5 miles and features 2700m (9000ft) of elevation
7am Start. 15 hour time limit (2.8 mph average)
The route is not marked by us, but is all on marked rights of way. A route description will be provided and a GPX is available to download
Pole Bank and the Mynd
Pole Bank is one of the highest points in Shropshire, at 517 metres above sea level. You will visit this point during one of the ascents.
There will be 5 checkpoints in total; every 6 - 9 miles apart. All checkpoints will have water, and some food

You can transfer your place to someone up to 1 week before using the Etchrock transfer system. Once the recipient pays, you will be refunded the ticket face value. Any merchandise ordered will be transferred, but to recover the cost of them you will have to arrange a private transfer of funds
